No Face No Hate
Campaign based on physical stereotyping
The Brief
This project was a Creative conscience open brief for the creative conscience awards. You could choose one of the 5 main areas creative conscience cover. For this project I choose equality as inequality is one of the strongest worldwide problems which I believe can have a dominoe effect into other categories e.g. mental health, crime and physical health .
For my project I wanted people to reflect upon their judgement on others purely for how they look, Do you judge people by their hair, skin colour or what they wear? I also wanted a solution to how we can stop doing this?
The Client
Creative conscience is a non-profit organisation aimed at building a healthier, fairer and sustainable world. They hold a host of events including lectures, workshops and awards, creating a community of designers want to make a social impact on the world.
Branding
My idea behind the logo was to include the equals symbol for equality. One being white and other being black shows that opposites can still be equal. The Black and white colour alongside the bebas neue font allows the project strip everything back straight to the brutal truth of the project.
As part of the project i created Zine giving you creative wordplay on scenarios of stereotyping/labeling one another. Showing you that stereotyping is based on ignorance. The zine also included profiles individuals involved in the project, highlighting their their skills, occupation and interests.
My No face No hate project was chosen as a BIMA Beat councils choice during the end of 2020. The theme for the years council choice was 'Reset'

" The BIMA Creative council thought this project by Malik was powerful but poignant, promoting equality & tolerance in a striking way. In a year that changed everything, it's great to see the theme of 'Reset' used in a way that tackles the issues raised throughout 2020 " - BIMA
